REACHING IN AND OUT
Being Jesus to others means giving of our time, our resources, our gifts. God gives us many opportunities to do just that. Our prayer is that God would be glorified as we learn more and more about giving from our surplus and out of sacrafice. Many opportunities are spontaneous and unplanned. Some are organized and planned. Here are some of those:
Every week in the bulletin, we print a list of items which have been designated by those in the congregation as items "I Want To Give." There is also a weekly list of items designated as "I Need." It has been very rewarding to see how the Lord has provided for needs through those who can provide them.
The Garden Project
Another way we have found to share with one another is through bringing our surplus garden produce on Sunday mornings during the summer and fall to share with others.
Threads of Love
For women and men, this ministry meets the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of the month at 9:30 a.m. to make blankets for Community Pregnancy Centers, knot comforters and provide walker aprons for Hands of Grace.
Local food banks and Operation Christmas Child
PMC has demonstrated their love for the community and children abroad through collecting for the local food pantries, Christmas Cheer and Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes for needy children throughout the world.
